Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is an American chef television personality and ex-teacher at the Institute of Culinary Education. She's the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. With her trademark spiky blond hair and her pumped-up appearance, Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of restaurant dishes and reveals simple, easy-to-learn techniques for home cooks in her Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell is also a part of some of New York's top restaurants, has studied Italian food, its culture and traditions as well as was a contestant on Food Network's Iron Chef America. Burrell is a native of the Upstate and grew up in New York State's Upstate, began to develop a passion for cooking. After obtaining an English and Communication degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she was able to pursue her love of the industry of restaurants by registering at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America was an unforgettable experience for me. I didn't have enough knowledge, couldn't do enough couldn't work hard enough. After graduating, chef Burrell was in Italy for a whole year attending the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Also, she was employed at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin highly rated restaurant) located in Tuscany. When she was in Italy she developed an appreciation for and understanding of Italian culinary traditions. It made a huge impact on how she views food. Burrell was a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which helps brighten the lives of children facing challenges. She is also a Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she promotes juvenile diabetes awareness. as a speaker, guest and teacher Burrell travels throughout the United States to discuss her passion for cooking as well as her profession. Anne always felt fortunate that she could share the passion of her life, sharing her cooking skills with other people.

  Amy Poehler was born September 16 1971. She is an American comedian and actress. After studying improv at Chicago's Second City and Improv Olympic in the early 1990s, Poehler co-founded the improvisational-comedy troupe Upright Citizens Brigade.
